A Feeling
Jindee feels good. It’s that simple.
It starts with the ocean breezes, and the knowledge that the beautiful Indian Ocean and sunsets over the ocean are so close. But there is more to it than this.
You know you are at Jindee. It’s reflected in nature and the ridgelines; the living environment of the homes in the amphitheatre between the ridgelines; in the urban planning and architecture.
It’s in the uplift in spirit from the play of light and shadows created by the street trees – with the rustling of leaves and the promise of protection through the heat of summer or the storms of winter.
It’s in wanting to walk and the sense of wellbeing and security in walking. Homes and gardens overlook the street, rather than bleakness of garage doors and fear of cars backing unheeding over crossovers.
It’s in the softness of the limestone walls that lift the homes above the footpaths, giving height to the verandahs and a sense of security to the people sitting overlooking or chatting with the passers by.
It’s in the sense of surprise and anticipation as you walk through the passages and peak in the portal gates of some of the elevated homes. What’s around the next corner?
You have options and the freedom to choose. You can connect with nature, feel the welcoming embrace of a village or a village neighbourhood or you can retreat into the private space and sanctity of your home.
