Beach & Parks
We’ve worked hard to ensure what’s created at Jindee on the ground matches our vision with the exact precision and attention to detail that makes us proud.
Already established at Jindee, right now, is:
- a temporary walkway so you explore our beautiful beach
- a park containing the biggest bench swing in the Southern Hemisphere and a community book swap
- a citrus and herb garden with two outdoor chess boards
- over 300 trees along streets and in our parks.
Walkway To The Beach
We’ve created a temporary walkway to our beautiful Jindee beach. Here you can explore the rocky coves, find a good fishing spot, walk along the sandy white beach, relax in the sun or enjoy the breathtaking sunsets.
It feels like your own private beach.
Citrus Park & Herb Garden
Our beautiful (and very practical) citrus park lets you pick in-season lemons and pomegranates at your leisure. When cooking, you can pop out to fetch some fresh rosemary or thyme from the herb garden. If you’ve got time, you can sit in the garden with a friend or neighbour and play a game of chess.
All such simple ideas but they’ll be handy and create an easy way to meet your local community. Some of our lucky residents can walk straight out their front door and they’re in the park, with no roads or even paths to cross.
A Very Large Bench Swing
First impressions count and we don’t do anything by halves. So if you’re going to have a bench swing, why not make it a big one. Perhaps even the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere.
Our very first park makes you feel at home.
- It’s a place where you can sit down and grab a book from our community library book swap.
- A place where you might pop down for a light stroll or walk with your dog.
- A place that invites the community to gather, whether it’s casual or for a community event, like our opera night.
Wide, Shady Streets
Jindee streets are designed to encourage you to walk or ride to the beach. They’re safe, wide and beautiful.
Pedestrians and cyclists can move more freely and safely, because many of our Jindee homes are designed with rear garages. There’s less traffic and less noise.
Say g’day to your neighbours, who may be sitting on their verandahs, as you stroll past on your way to the park or beach.
Coming Next
Currently on the design board is our neighbourhood centre park located on the bend of Oceania Avenue.
It will have a mix of residential lots, leafy trees, green grass, and a paved piazza area with spaces for cafes and restaurants. Beautiful Norfolk pines will be lit up at night within a stunning raised limestone piazza.
This will become a neighbourhood centre where you can meet your friends and neighbours and enjoy the Jindee lifestyle.
Our Vision
The coastal vegetation and the natural land features roll seamlessly into the landscaped open spaces of Jindee. Soft edges blend parks, walkways, gardens and paths, which lead you to the beach.
The variety of open spaces provide opportunities for all sorts of activities (or non-activity), so you can kick a football around, take your daily run, walk the dog or just sit quietly.
The planning of Jindee allows for corridors of trees which will provide shade as you walk to the beach or around the green open spaces. We’ve selected species, such as Tipuan Tipus and Ficus, which have leafy wide-spreading canopies
-
