Connecting Homes and Community
People who come to live at Jindee will have a shared love of being near the beach and enjoying the coastal lifestyle. That’s why we’re the closest estate to the beach. But there is more we are doing to encourage those like-minded people to feel part of the very special Jindee community.
Our Architectural Standards encourage designers to have the living areas at the front of the house, and the front verandah is an intrinsic feature of Jindee homes. This will strengthen the connection between your home and interaction with your surroundings. You can have your privacy and engage with the community and your neighbours. Moving garages to the back of the home sites, getting rid of driveway crossovers will reduce the number of cars on the streets. This encourages people to walk and cycle and have more leisurely interaction with their community. The open spaces throughout the estate will also provide communal areas to relax, meet and exercise. An enclosed community space will be available for residents to use the space as a hot desk workplace, to catch up with friends, celebrate special events such as birthdays and anniversaries, and as a centre for group meetings such as yoga classes and book clubs.
Parks & Gardens
Small parks and open areas will break-up streets and homes, bring light and space into the neighbourhood and provide places to relax and revive.
People can easily walk or cycle to the beach, village centre, cafes, corners stores, parks and other great local destinations. When you can walk or ride to everything, people actively use the streets more. This makes it friendlier and safer.
Jindee will have a variety of different civic spaces including Natural Reserves, Squares, Parks, Closes, Plazas, Promenades, Passages, Paths, Greens,
Playgrounds and Commons.
The WA community is changing. One or two people households are now more common than traditional ‘family’ households.
