The Stinky Rose Joins Jindee. There is something special about having places to eat, gather and connect within walking distance of home.
Now, Jindee has a new destination to do just that. The Stinky Rose is a new destination at Pelican Circle, located at the corner of Oceania Avenue and Midsummer Street, Jindalee.
With a love of food, hospitality and community at its heart, The Stinky Rose brings together good food and memorable experiences in a relaxed setting close to home.
Meet the Duo behind The Stinky Rose
At the heart of The Stinky Rose are Marco and Sam, a passionate duo with a shared love of food, hospitality and bringing people together. With experience cooking and working in hospitality around the world, Marco and Sam have spent years experiencing different food cultures, kitchens and communities. Those experiences helped shape their vision for a place of their own, somewhere that could bring together their love of food with their passion for creating welcoming spaces for people to gather.
After years of working in the industry and building their experience, they decided to combine everything they had learned and create something that reflected what they value most.
And so, The Stinky Rose was born.
Their vision is simple: great food, genuine hospitality and a place where people feel welcome.
Whether it’s stopping by for a coffee, enjoying a meal with family and friends, celebrating a special occasion or simply catching up with neighbours, The Stinky Rose is designed to be a place where people can come together.
The Stinky Rose is a natural fit for the way Jindee has been designed.
At the heart of Jindee’s design and vision is the idea of a walkable, liveable and connected community; a neighbourhood where everyday destinations, green spaces and places to gather are connected to the homes around them.
The Stinky Rose is located alongside Jindee’s “Van Eileen” art installation, with landscaped spaces and tables creating a relaxed setting where visitors can sit, enjoy their food and spend time with friends and family.
And while its distinctive food-truck-style exterior is part of its charm, The Stinky Rose is much more than a food truck. Behind the frontage is a fully operational commercial kitchen, allowing the team to prepare and serve a range of thoughtfully designed dishes and beverages.
Rather than needing to travel further afield, residents can walk or make their way to Pelican Corner to enjoy a coffee, something to eat or time with friends and family.
It is another opportunity for people to meet their neighbours, spend time together and enjoy the benefits of having community destinations close to home.
More than just a Food Truck
The Stinky Rose is a Kitchen on Wheels offering wholesome food, hospitality and a place for the community to gather.
The concept brings together Marco and Sam’s experience in food and hospitality with their desire to create welcoming experiences for the local community.
From casual visits to special occasions and events, The Stinky Rose aims to create an environment where good food and good company go hand in hand.
